Wired encoder

Wired encoder

Spatial registration for UT and eddy current scans

Encoders enable spatially referenced scanning, which is essential when it is necessary to correlate acquired data with the position along the inspection path. They are primarily used with ultrasonic systems, but can also be combined with instruments for eddy current testing.

We offer a variety of solutions: cable-mounted encoders, wheel-mounted encoders, or clamp-mounted encoders. The connector for attaching the device can be customized, as can the cable length.

IMG Ultrasonic wired encoders operate with a 5 V power supply and output signal and provide a resolution of 1,024 pulses per revolution. This solution is also particularly valued in the aerospace industry for its ability to ensure reliable spatial recording in ultrasonic and eddy current inspections.
