TOFD Probes

TOFD Probes

Longitudinal wave UT flat probes for TOFD inspections

The TOFD (Time Of Flight Diffraction) technique requires probes with particularly high damping performance without compromising sensitivity. IMG TOFD probes are designed with this purpose, easy to mount on angled wedges and to use on any manual or motorized scanner. (Anyweld or TOFD). Wide range of diameters and frequencies.

IMG TOFD probes are longitudinal wave ultrasonic flat probes designed to be mounted on angled wedges and used in TOFD inspections. They are a suitable solution when a dedicated setup for inspection is required, particularly on welds and components where defect detection is a central requirement.
