DLA and DMA Phased Array probes are specifically designed for inspecting welds in anisotropic materials (austenitic or austenitic-ferritic steels) where testing using transversal waves is not feasible.

Compared to 1D PA probes, the transducers have a much slimmer profile and the focusing improves the signal-to-noise ratio.
