Custom-designed handheld scanners that ensure accurate positioning and scanning distances even on complex geometries

During ultrasonic inspections, it may be necessary to work on scanning planes that require complex probe positioning and, above all, the precise maintenance of specified distances.
Custom manual scanners are designed and manufactured to meet these requirements: we analyze the overall dimensions, available space and type of probes to be used, in order to develop a solution that is tailored to the component and the inspection procedure.

Scanners are made of lightweight materials and may include features such as:

  • magnetic wheels
  • rubber wheels for translation/rotation
  • shock absorbers
  • stabilizers/anti-roll bars

If required, encoders, irrigation kits and laser pointers can also be included. The hands-on experience of our technicians (Level 3) and our in-house design of mechanical components enable us to deliver effective solutions with rapid development times.

  • TEMPLATE SCANNER for edge-aligned inspection of components
  • SCANNER for inspecting angle welds
  • PROBE HOLDER for PA sockets of various sizes on cylindrical parts, with an adaptive system for different diameters and an integrated suspension
  • PROBE HOLDER for nozzle inspection, adaptable to different socket sizes and nozzle diameters
  • TRIPEE SCANNER for manual inspection, compatible with probe holders for conventional probes and brackets for TOFD or Phased Array probes; also available with a laser pointer
  • Custom design based on geometry, sensors, and access constraints
