Boreprobes
IMG boroprobes are manual solutions designed for ultrasonic testing in specific applications where the geometry of the component or the location of the area to be inspected requires dedicated configurations.
The range includes boreprobes for railway axles, pipes, and internal bores (IBW) on heat exchangers, as well as submersion inspections and longitudinal welds, with configurations that can incorporate multiple angled probes, water injection, guide rods or encoders for recording the inspection.
Examples of use:
- Inspection of railway axles using two probes angled at 45° and water injection beneath the probe
- Inspection of IBW welds on heat exchangers
- Inspection of pipes using angled probes to achieve a 60° angle within the material
- Immersion checks using probes angled to achieve 45° within the material
- IBW weld inspection using an encoder to record the inspection
- Inspection of longitudinal welds
